Delta-Biomarkers is behind an innovation in the biomarker field, showing a relationship between cancer monitoring in living organisms and copper isotopic variation (dCu).
Our large database, built from more than 6,000 human and animal samples, gives us strong insight into the natural and pathological variations of this biomarker.
Application field
Our technology is also used in the field of neurodegenerative diseases and with physicians specialised in anti-ageing medicine.
Our core focus is the use of this cancer-related marker in veterinary medicine, particularly for companion animals, mainly dogs, but also zoo felids for which we now have a significant database.
Clinical studies
Our first clinical follow-up studies on more than one hundred dogs showed strong results and higher specificity than commonly used data such as CRP or other inflammation markers.
After a two-year follow-up on 77 dogs, our biomarker enabled the diagnosis of more than 85% of cancers, including lymphomas. This level can reach 99% when TK1 measurement is added. We also obtained more than 85% recurrence detection over the follow-up period using copper alone.
