Elemental analysis

Analyses

Metal, isotope and complex-matrix analyses by ICP-MS, ICP-AES and laser ablation imaging.

Metals and matrices

Metal analysis across many matrix types

Our laboratory is equipped with advanced ICP-MS and ICP-AES measurement technologies, allowing us to perform many types of metal analyses across a wide range of matrices.

Our laboratory manager has 30 years of experience in ICP-MS and AES analysis, enabling us to adapt to many sample types while targeting the lowest possible detection limits.

We regularly work as a subcontractor for analytical service laboratories in France and for the nuclear industry. Many matrix types can be considered.

Geochemistry

Trace elements, major elements and isotopes

Because Delta-Biomarkers originates from long-standing geochemistry expertise, we also support trace and major element analysis on soils, waters and various sample types.

We can perform isotopic analyses including strontium, copper, iron, zinc and calcium isotopes.

Imaging

Laser ablation ICP-MS

We offer expertise in laser ablation ICP-MS imaging. The principle is to use a microscope slide or another flat support on which the sample is deposited after being cut to a thickness of 5 to 20 µm.

The sample is placed in a cell swept by helium flow and subjected to ultra-fast shots from a 193 nm laser. The laser is coupled to an ICP-MS to measure ablated particles and generate elemental images.
